The H.K. Govt. have been making a large pro-

fit on their subsidiary coins supplied to China in

recent years, and the coins are now coming home to

roost. They have at any rate had the interest o

on the profit, though they may have to pay back most

of the capital profit so to speak. They must ma e the

best they can of the situation it is lucky they havê
